CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

  • Little Luvvies Ltd places the protection of children using its services as its major

       priority and responsibility.

  • Little Luvvies believe that all students have the right to be safe, secure and free from threat, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs and that parents and carers need to have confidence that Little Luvvies is committed to safeguarding all.

  • Whilst all students are supervised by the teacher (and assistant) at all times in the studio, should a pupil aged under 10 years need to leave the room to go to the toilet (situated in the hallway) they will be accompanied to the lobby space as an extra security measure.

  • All volunteers and helpers over the age of 18 who have contact with the children will have CRB or DBS clearance.

  • Emergency contact details of all who are participating will be to hand should the need arise.

  • A register of all the children and helpers will be taken in case of evacuation or emergency.

  • No child will be allowed to leave the space unaccompanied unless prior consent has been given by their parent/guardian, as set out in our Health and Safety policy.

  • Should teaching staff become concerned about the welfare of any student the relevant action will be taken.

  • Little Luvvies will adhere to the following Rules and Guidelines with regards to Photography and Filming:

a. Little Luvvies shall take all reasonable measures to ensure that no image of any child will be used unless prior consent has been given by the parent/guardian on the registration form.

b. Anyone with any concerns about images posted on the Little Luvvies’ website/social media can speak to Emma Whittemore.

c. The expectations for parents or spectators who wish to take photographs or film at an event are to avoid inappropriate or intrusive photography. Parents/carers should only take photos of their own child and never other children unless permission has been sought. Any child or parent who has concerns regarding inappropriate photography must report their concerns to Emma Whittemore directly.
